The BFC Team is proud to announce the launch of the Capital Region Active Transportation Plan!
Thanks to funding received through the PEI Active Transportation Fund, we spent the past 18 months conducting extensive research, engaging the public and developing a comprehensive active transportation network plan with policy recommendations. This plan is grounded in the needs and priorities of the community and provides the unified vision that will help shape the future of active transportation in the capital region for decades to come.
We set out to create this network plan because many government plans and strategies had previously identified the need for one, but none offered a detailed network, maps, nor a vision towards which our municipalities and province could make gradual progress.
The Capital Region Active Transportation Plan provides the detailed network, maps, and vision our municipalities and province need in order to create the future we want for our communities.
Want to learn more about our vision for the future of our communities? We will be hosting a public information session on the evening of March 17 at the Beaconsfield Carriage House from 6:30-8:30 pm. Presentations will begin at 7:00.
We look forward to seeing you and sharing our vision for the future of great Charlottetown, Cornwall, and Stratford!
